Roosegaarde's Liquid Space 6.0

Studio Roosegaarde created an interactive space that reacts to human behaviour, that was showcased in the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media.

We recently covered Studio Roosegaarde's Sustainable Dance Floor, but it appears that Daan Roosegaarde is a busy man. The studio designed a space that 'becomes bigger, smaller and brighter in relation to human behavior'.

In contrary of what the figure suggests, Liquid Space 6.0 is the third installment of the Liquid Space-series. The space combines several mechanisms with electronics, sounds and lights to create 'a dialogue with its visitors', says Roosegaarde.

  • On their website, Studio Roosegaarde made a nice slideshow on how Liquid Space 6.0 came into being.
  • The interactive space can also be seen on the Oeral-festival, which will be held next summer on the small island of Terschelling.
