Antelope II car. |
Marcel Wanders will again present bright and glitzy work in Milan.
Marcel Wanders will present accessories for Moooi, wallpaper for Graham and Brown, a new carpet for Colorline, A House of Dreams for Poliform, Aqua Crystals for Swarovski, new pieces for Slide and a car at the Nhow Hotel.
Image 1. Wanders' second car will be parked in front of the Nhow Hotel, Via Tortona. That is, if Marcel's not on road - the Bisazza-tiled Antelope II car can actually be driven.
Image 2. Wanders' contribution to Swarovski Crystal Palace consists of a huge space filled with . . . crystals. The space is 10m long and 5m wide with ceilings 4m high. The floors are deep dark parquet wood while the rest of the room sparkles. In low relief, flecks of coloured Bisazza glass are complimented by silvery crystals designed for Swarovski. Three ornate chandeliers are hung in a row from the dark draped ceiling. The three Crystal Chandeliers are, in fact, flowing showers made of chromed metal, crystal and glass fiber optics, from which water runs.
Image 3. British wallpaper manufacturer Graham & Brown gets a new collection by Wanders. He says: 'As our fashion dresses our bodies, wallpaper dresses our walls. Wallpaper and fashion mediate between our naked bodies and architecture. In this way, architecture and man can live together with the sophisticated illusion of couture.'
Image 4. Dutch floor tiling company Colorline presents a new series called Tartan Collection By Marcel Wanders. The collection has four individual characters that can be mixed into compositions of geometric lines, flowers and tartans.
Image 5. Wanders' new collection for Poliform includes furniture and accessories, called My House of Dreams.
Image 6. Moooi will show the new Boutique Sofa XL concept, including a corner composition and five new covers. Also there: Delft Blue pieces and a new chair, called Carved.
Image 7. Italian company Slide presents three new pieces: The Chubby seater, the Chubby Low pouf and Bacchus, a container for up to 40 bottles. Posted by Robert Thiemann |
