L’Atelier Des Enfants By Mathieu Lehanneur

The Children’s atelier by Mathieu Lehanneur in Paris’ Centre Pompidou stimulates artistic creativity.

Matthieu Lehanneur has developed an inspiring space for children aged 2-12 in the Centre Pompidou, Paris. Offering an adaptable area for all kinds of activities, the new space includes rounded corners and scalable seating.

The children’s atelier consists of three spaces: a workshop space for toddlers, a space built around the theme of an artist’s studio for the older children, and a versatile space for workshops and other activities. Especially made to stimulate creativity, the rooms have been designed and equipped to accomodate all kinds of activities, from dancing to sculpting.

Kids can freely draw on the walls, or climb and jump over the obstacles in the skate park-like area. Children are guided to the various tools they might need by facilitating elements in the spaces, which are all geared towards artistic development.
