| Sosushi Restaurant By UAU |
Italian design studio UAU has turned a small old stationery shop in Turin, Italy into a bright and buzzing sushi spot, called Sosushi.
Italy has received its first Sushi franchise in the form of Sosushi, a brand who takes the design of their restaurants seriously. While magenta may not be the first colour to spring to mind when you think about sushi, the use of one accent colour in the neutral interior helps to make the space appear larger than it actually is. The grain of the plexwood also helps to draw out the space, providing more depth and dimension.
No trace of the former stationery shop is left behind, as UAU have used every able surface to their advantage. Working around the perimeter, they created benches and shelves that extend into corners, making the most of any useable surface area, and furthermore, visually elongating the space.
